How Lucky!

While St. Patrick's Day is now behind us, I am sharing one last project anyway.  This one was for the man of the house and I literally put it together that morning so I couldn't even photograph it before I gave it to him.  The Lucky Charms challenge at Shopping Our Stash was the kick in the pants I needed to get one more done, just in time.

Luckily, I had a left over piece of alcohol ink plaid from Easter cards last year.  The clover is made from gold paper as any lucky leprechaun should have and I pulled out the appropriate colored twine for the Irish Flag.

Enjoy!

Create With Us at Papertrey

Today I am sharing two cards inspired by Heather Nichols from the Papertrey Ink Design Team.  I loved the look of the coloring blending across the die cut on her card.

I took a piece of white cardstock and used a variety of Distress Ink colors to create a color blended beauty.  Then  I used the Fancy Flourishes Dies to cut some pieces and went to work using the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch!

Which together brought this card.

When I was done and cleaning up I realized I had enough pieces left over for a second card, so I made this one too.

I love the color blending.  I just don't get around to it that much.

Thanks for stopping by!  Let me know what you think.

Good luck!

Today I have a little gem based on the challenge at Fusion Card Challenge.  It's a bit of a combination of the inspiration photo and the sketch.

I took the green and "lucky" from the photo and paired it with the sketch to create this.

This was made using stamps from "way back in the day."  Enjoy!

Pretty Patterns

One more St. Patrick's Day card, though I might make another this week;)  This one is inspired by the photo at The Card Concept.

I love all the patterns on the shamrock cookies and that is where I focused my attention when I went to work.  I decided to go with one large shamrock on a square card so nothing seemed off balanced or crowded.

I love that hearts can turn into clovers since there isn't much St. Patrick's Day stuff out there these days.

ETA: I forgot to point out (though I doubt there is any question) that my style here is Clean and Simple.

Rainbows and Clovers

Today I am sharing another St. Patrick's Day card.  This one is inspired by the sketch at Retro Rubber.

RRCB 33

I was already thinking about St. Patrick's Day so it was easy to see clovers and rainbows in this sketch.  I remembered the older Papertrey set Sign Language with those cute little squares.  I'm not sure how old this set is, but it's old enough to have been retired for a year or so.  I don't think many people loved the set, but I always found those little squares versatile.  The set has a square with a clover with would line up quite nicely into a rainbow so I made a simple card with that.

I would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for stopping by,
Amanda

Somewhere over the Rainbow...

There are going to be a fair bit of St. Patrick's Day cards this week.  My littles love this holiday, though I'm not exactly sure why.  First up is a card inspired by the White Out Challenge at Shopping our Stash paired with the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!

It was a fun combination.  Here's my card.

When I was finished I realized the only stamping is on the inside which is not something I do often.  I used a lot of dies.  The paper in the middle is marbled.  It comes that way and makes a great sky, which is probably why I bought a ream of it way back when.  Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by.  Let me know what you think.
